Job Description:
As a driver for Crystal House Kindergarten and Daycare, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of children to and from the daycare, as well as other designated locations. You will also assist in transporting staff and occasionally running errands to support the daycare’s operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport children to and from the daycare and school, adhering to all traffic regulations.
Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition at all times.
Assist children with boarding and disembarking from the vehicle, ensuring their safety.
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and management regarding transportation schedules.
Adhere to the established routes and pickup/drop-off schedules.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers, especially the children.
Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures in case of unexpected situations.
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably with children.
Knowledge of local routes and areas.
Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Patience, punctuality, and a high level of responsibility.
Ability to pass a background check and health screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience driving for schools, daycares, or similar organizations.
Familiarity with child safety seat regulations.
Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
Working Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility required based on operational needs.
